Sayadaw U Osadha
Birth and Youth
Sayadaw U Osadha was born on Sunday, November 19, 1961 in Tha Zi village, Ka Lay township, Sagaing district, Myanmar. He is the fifth son (among the 6 children) of U Aung Htoo and Daw Mae Hmyin.
Novice
In April (Burmese New Year), 1974, he became a novice. The preceptor was
Sayadaw U Kesareinda, Abbot, Tha Zi village monastery.
The donors of the requisites were his parents.
Ordination
The ordination took place at Baddha sima in Mahavijitarone
monastery,
The donors of the eight requisites were U Tun Aung and Professor Dr. Daw Nyunt Nyunt, Sandar Garden (in front of the Mandalay Palace).
